Important Notes to All Delegates

  • At least one author must register by the camera-ready deadline July 12th in order that accepted papers are published in the proceedings and scheduled for presentation during the conference (for the main conference proceedings). Each paper can be covered by either a student registration or a regular (full) registration. Main conference papers without registered author(s) will be withdrawn from the proceedings and the technical program.
  • Only 1 paper can be covered by 1 student registration (member/non-members).
  • Up to 3 papers can be covered by 1 regular registration (member/non-members).
  • If a student has no other student paper accepted, a student registration is sufficient to cover the Doctoral Consortium paper.
  • 1 workshop paper can be covered by 1 workshop only registration.
  • “Member” refers to membership of Association for the Advancement of Affective Computing (AAAC). Notice that it is more convenient to become AAAC member and then register. The standard membership cost is £50 which is equivalent to $65 US dollar and £20 ($25) for student members. You can register at http://aaac.cs.nott.ac.uk/. Note that this fee covers a 2-year period.
  • For a member registration, your AAAC membership should be active at the time of registration. If this is not the case and you select a member registration, your registration will be cancelled.
  • If you select the student rate, you need to provide a proof of your student status at the registration desk (e.g., student ID issued by your institutions, a letter from your adviser).
  • For late or on-site registration, standard conference items (e.g. printed program and conference bags) are available only while stocks last.

AAAC Bursaries

The Association for the Advancement of Affective Computing (AAAC) would like to announce the availability of up to five travel bursaries to support those who wish to attend ACII.

The bursary consists of a refund of the ACII 2019 registration fees. To apply, send the following details to the registration chair (Joy Egede, see below):

  • Name
  • Affiliation (institute you work/study at)
  • Title of accepted paper
  • Your employment status (student/postdoc/faculty)
  • A short description of why you need financial support

In addition, students should ask their supervisors to send an explanation why their travel costs cannot be met by their own institute, by email to the same address.

For students, please provide some information about the type of degree you are on (e.g. MSc/PhD) and what stage you are in for that course.

Preference will be given to geographical areas with less well-established research infrastructure, those who are first author to a paper, and students.
Please send your request by Wednesday 28 August 13:00 (UK time) to Joy Egede
